History Day

History Day is one of my favorite things about Caprock.  I don't know how I am so fortunate to have such an amazing mother-in-law, but I do.  She made all of these costumes (not all this year, but at different times and has saved them).

Thomas's grade had been studying the American Revolution and had memorized the poem "Paul Revere's Ride" (the entire poem...it is long!).  Isn't he a handsome Paul Revere?  ...or maybe he was a minuteman...I can't remember now.  Either way, he was handsome!

Nicholas was a Native American.  He wore some authentic hand made moccasins.  They have these metal pieces hanging off them that make a great noise as you walk and jump around.  I loved watching Nicholas break out in a little jig now and then to make them jingle.

I forgot to take pictures of Estella before school and when we got home it was SO bright outside, so her pictures just don't do the costume justice.  It was so beautiful.  They had been learning about the different continents and were able to dress up to represent any continent they chose.  Hooray for History Day!

Heart Attacking

Clarissa planned a Family Home Evening activity and invited us to help with it.  We set plates on the doorstep, decorated around the door with hearts, rang the doorbell, and ran like crazy.  She planned so many different families, we took two cars and did 7 or 8 families each.  It was so fun.  Thanks, Clarissa!

School Program

Thomas, Nicholas, and Estella all had school programs.  I only managed to get a picture at Essie's.  Most of her classmates were gone by the time I get there, there were a couple there.  They are such sweet little girls.
