Tried and...

...failed to get a good picture of all three kids together. It was worth it just for these memories, though!

"Nicholas, put your arm around Estella. No..not so tight!"
"Thomas let go of her and scoot over a little bit."
"Not that far Thomas."
"AAAAA!!!"
I want to make it a tradition to take portraits of the kids at the beginning of each school year. I tried this past weekend, but I'm not super happy with them. I think I will try again. I'll post a few of my favorites from this first try soon.

One cute thing that Nicholas has been saying lately that I don't want to forget is, "I want to sit be-next ya." or "Put that cup be-next to me." I love the age of language exploration!

I love the "true to life" pics of your kiddos! I hear ya with the frustration of catching more than one looking at the camera at a time but your attempts are adorable!

That's great! I remember trying to take a picture of Kelsey and her three cousins and we must have took about 10 pictures and not one of them turned out with all of them looking at the camera! But at least you have something to laugh at later, right?

They are all so cute! Who knew to get three kids smiling for a camera all at once could be such a task! :)

Also, your story of the bartering for the picture is priceless! I laughed so hard.

Those shots are so classic. In the age of digital picture taking where we can take hundreds of pictures until we get *the perfect shot* of our kids, I sometimes think the less-than-perfect candid shot is the best anyway. You should frame one of these. :)
