Jackson and I are taking the marriage and family Sunday School class right now. This is the first time we have both been free during Sunday School when the class has been offered. Last week we discussed motherhood. One scripture we talked about really stuck with me. It is D&C 64:33 and part of 34
Wherefore, be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work. And out of small things proceedeth that which is great. Behold, the Lord requireth the heart and a willing mind.
In context, the scripture is talking about missionary work, but I think it equally applies to parenting. What greater work is there than laying the foundation of righteousness in a child? It is an overwhelming, but wonderful responsibility.

I am finally starting my Canon Rebel for Dummies book today-and then I can have cool looking pictures like you!
What a nice scripture application. I'm going to have to type that up, frame it and stick it on my wall. Sometimes I need a gentle/loving reminder as to why I'm doing what I'm doing and to give me the strength to try harder and be better. I also love your pictures! YOu are doing so good! What is the name of that flower that's budding on that branch? It's purple. Do you know?
I also love your idea for Saturday dates that you mentioned earlier. I want to try it. I would LOVE to have some one-on-one time with the kids.
Love the pics of the flowers! I think we are so far from spring its soo cold and windy here! Brightened my day to see the pretty flowers!
