Summer

A few random pictures from our summer...GIANT armenian cucumbers...DELICIOUS!

My favorite moments to witness are quiet happy times when all of the kids are together. I caught a glimpse out the window of them playing a card game in the backyard. I never want to disturb these moments, so I just snuck a picture through the window.

Thomas got in to making duct tape wallets this summer. Everyone in the family has one and I have five or six in my closet for his friends when their birthdays come around :)

Aunt Jamie- "Essie, do you go to preschool yet?"

Essie- "No, I will go to preschool when I am four." Pause..."But don't worry, I'll still love you when I am four."

In Fillmore there was a chicken in the back yard. Grandpa sent Nicholas and Thomas out to chase it back to the neighbor's yard. Thomas got to the chicken first and it started running in a big circle. As it came around the circle, Nicholas was running along behind and the chicken was coming straight at him. He threw his hands up in the air and started screaming! The chicken didn't get much closer before it gave up and flew over the fence.

About an hour later Aunt Jamie overheard Nicholas saying, "I thought that chicken was going to peck me to a frazzle!"
