Utah Trip: Apple Farm

Until recently, my mom worked as a secretary part time for a man in Fillmore who owns the lumber yard. He also has an apple orchard where he has built a barn and has fun things for kids and families to enjoy together. He is so kind and generous with what he has. He let us play on everything and then came and helped us ride down his new zipline. WOW!!! That was so fun!

The zipline tower...the scariest part of the whole experience was climbing up that thing.

Daddy went first and then Thomas (he was one of the youngest that has ever ridden it...brave boy!)

Next was me. It was so fun to not have to say, "I can't because I'm pregnant."

And last...Grandma!

The geese were feisty! Grandma taunted them a little bit and they started nipping at her.

Utah Trip: Rolling Over

While I was out with my mom somewhere, Jackson called and told me that Alexander rolled over three times in a row. At less than two months old, I wouldn't have believed him, but he caught it on camera.

Utah Trip: Essie misses Aunt Jamie

When Jamie lived with us this past summer, she painted Essie's fingernails almost every day. I hadn't painted them once since she left us....poor, deprived Estella. Jamie made sure to pamper Essie a bit by painting her nails during our visit.

Utah Trip: Alexander's Namesake

Grandma and Grandpa Groesbeck (great grandparents to my kids) drove over to Fillmore from Richfield to see us while we were there. Alexander's middle name Paul comes from my Grandpa Paul Groesbeck. He is a wonderful man. I hope Alexander will emulate him as he grows.

Utah Trip: Lunch in Provo

Jamie is such a thoughtful and generous person. When she learned of our plans, she immediately offered to babysit during the temple and also to make us a picnic lunch to eat together in Provo. She knows I despise fast food. She bought my favorite bread and made delicious sandwiches and an enormous fruit salad. Thank you so much Jamie! We ate at a park that is close to her apartment.

Utah Trip: Music Lessons

We took a trip to Utah back in October. We went to Salt Lake. My sister Jamie brought a friend and watched our kids in a hotel room while Jackson and I went through a temple session together. The next morning Jackson observed several cello lessons, Nicholas took a private cello lesson with Megan Titensor, and Thomas took a private violin lesson with Debbie Mensch. After the whirlwind music morning, we drove to Provo and had lunch with Jamie and Jake in the park, and then drove the rest of the way down to Fillmore. I took WAY too many pictures to put them all in one post, so I'll break them up over several.

Here are a few pictures of Nicholas with Megan. She was so great with Nicholas. He generally takes a while to warm up and feel comfortable with people, but he and she hit it off right away. His favorite thing that she taught him was the "Ants, ants, ants, digging in the dirt, dirt, dirt" song.

Crazy Hair

This little boy has crazy hair! He takes after his siblings. There is one couple in our ward who still call Estella "The Hair Child."
