Mommy and Daddy Dates

Jackson had some time away from work the week between Christmas and New Year's, so we decided to use some of that time for one-on-one dates with the kids. They each got to choose one thing to do with Mommy and one thing to do with Daddy. The rules were that the activity could last for one hour and it couldn't cost any money. Here is what they chose:

Dates with Daddy
Estella- Library
Nicholas- Library
Thomas- Canyon View Park to play Soccer

Dates with Mommy
Estella- Bookstore
Nicholas- Math and Science Center
Thomas- Main Street to look at sculptures and browse the toy store

The dates were a success and enjoyed by all. The only one I remembered to bring my camera on was my date with Nicholas to the Math and Science Center. This actually does cost money, but we bought a membership for the year, so it didn't cost us any more money.

This was Nicholas's favorite thing this time...dissecting an owl pellet and using a microscope to look at the bones. We compared them to a chart and decided this owl ate some kind of rodent...probably a mouse.
