Grammy

I had to bring the words "Aged, Pink, and Paper" together into a picture for my photography class last week. I thought of Jackson's mom's mom, Grammy, because she is so beautifully aged, love to wear pink, and has both written books (paper)and plays the piano (paper music). So, I went to her retirement apartment house last Sunday morning before church and we played. I am so glad I was pushed to do this, and am now motivated to photograph my other grandparents.

This is the image I chose for the class. She is holding one of her published books.

Here are some of the others I liked.

I love you Grammy!!!

Good job Jen! You take some great photos! What kind of camera do you have and would you recommend it to someone who wants to get into photography?

Oh Jen, the ones of her hands are so breathtaking. You need to print them and give them to her descendants for Christmas! What an exquisite lady.

These are great - I love, love, LOVE the one of her hands on the piano keys. I'm a sucker for pianos and anything sentimental! ;-)

I love these photos, somehow they are so touching even though I do not know Jackson's grandma! I think it is because I have such love for my own grandparents, and I see so much in those detailed photos of her hands. Very creative interpretation of the assignment.

GREAT job! SO hard to choose from - I LOVE the keyboard/hands one as well. You are so talented. Are you still taking classes from Sheye or elsewhere? This makes me want to take pics of my grandparents when I am home as my g-gpa just passed away. What lens did you use for these? A fixed 50mm? 85? Also, do you like the actions you bought from Sheye? I'm considering...
